Cilostazol (Pletaal) 50mg Tablet inhibits phosphodiesterase activity and suppresses cAMP degradation in the body. Increased concentrations of cAMP subsequently lead to increased concentrations of protein kinase A (PKA). Cilostazol (Pletaal) 50mg Tablet Increased PKA is directly related to the inhibition of platelet aggregation, and increased PKA directly relates to the formation of platelets.

• Allergy to any component or ingredients of Cilostazol. 
• Inform the prescribing doctors if you take other antihypertensive medicines to avoid hypertension or severe low blood pressure. 
• Avoid driving machinery or vehicles for this medication can cause dizziness.
• Use caution in patients with renal impairment and hepatic impairment.
• Avoid taking cilostazol with 2 or more blood-thinner medications such as aspirin.

How do patients’ take this medicine?

• Take Cilostazol (Pletaal) 50mg Tablet precisely as prescribed by your doctor or indicated on the label. But this is usually taken twice a day. Intervals of 30 minutes before or 2 hours after breakfast and dinner.  Take no more or less than your doctor has prescribed.
• Dosage of Cilostazol (Pletaal) 50mg Tablet will differ in every patient depending on their conditions.

What should do the patients do if they miss a dose?

• Take the missed dose immediately upon recall. If the next dose starts, skip the missed dose and proceed to the usual amount. Do not double dose to avoid overdosage. 
• If you frequently forget to take your doses, setting the alarm will serve as a reminder. Consult your pharmacist for additional tips on remembering to take your medication.

What special dietary instructions should the patients follow while taking Cilostazol (Pletaal) 50mg Tablet?

• Avoid alcohol and alcoholic beverages.
• Avoid taking grapefruit.
• Nicotine-containing products such as cigarettes must be avoided, to avoid reducing how the cilostazol work.  

Is Cilostazol (Pletaal) 50mg Tablet safe to use during pregnancy o breastfeeding?
Trimetazidine is not generally recommended in pregnant patients or nursing mothers.
