Shipping & Delivery Policy

Effective Date: August 08, 2026
Last Updated: August 08, 2026

1. Introduction

Getmeds is committed to the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of medicines to every customer — patients, hospitals, pharmacies, distributors, clinics, and pharmaceutical partners. This Shipping & Delivery Policy outlines how Getmeds handles order dispatch, packaging, delivery, and product integrity from our warehouse to your location.

As a licensed pharmaceutical wholesaler, importer, distributor, and retail pharmacy, our shipping and delivery practices follow Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards, FDA Philippines regulations, and international guidelines for pharmaceutical handling.

2. Delivery Coverage

Getmeds delivers pharmaceutical products across the Philippines to authorized customers, including:

  • Private hospitals and hospital pharmacies
  • Government hospitals and public healthcare institutions
  • Retail drugstores and community pharmacies
  • Licensed pharmaceutical distributors and sub-distributors
  • Clinics and specialty medical facilities
  • Individual patients (for approved orders)

For specific delivery availability in your area, please contact us at +63 919 076 9105 or info@getmeds.ph.

3. Order Verification Before Dispatch

Every order dispatched by Getmeds undergoes mandatory verification by our licensed pharmacists before it leaves our warehouse.

Verification includes:

  • Confirmation of authorized and validated sales order or delivery request
  • Product name and formulation
  • Batch and lot number
  • Expiry date
  • Quantity ordered vs. quantity dispatched
  • Regulatory compliance for the product category
  • Prescription verification (for prescription medicines)

No order is dispatched without proper verification and authorization.

4. Stock Rotation Standards

To ensure customers always receive the freshest available stock, Getmeds follows internationally recognized stock rotation methods:

  • FEFO (First-Expired-First-Out) — Products closer to expiration are dispatched first, ensuring optimal shelf life for the customer
  • FIFO (First-In-First-Out) — Products received earlier in inventory are dispatched first, maintaining efficient inventory flow

This ensures our customers receive products with maximum remaining shelf life whenever possible.

5. Packaging Standards

All Getmeds orders are packaged with strict quality standards to maintain product integrity from warehouse to delivery.

Packaging requirements:

  • Clean, sanitized packaging materials
  • Tamper-proof containers with security seals
  • Temperature-appropriate packaging for cold-chain and specialty medicines
  • Cushioning and protection for fragile items (vials, ampoules, glassware)
  • Batch and expiry labels visible without opening
  • Compliance with hazardous materials regulations (where applicable)

Cold-chain products are packaged with:

  • Temperature-controlled insulated containers
  • Validated cold-chain packaging materials
  • Temperature monitoring devices (where required)
  • Clear cold-chain handling instructions

6. Quality Control Before Dispatch

Every order undergoes a dual-verification quality check by our licensed pharmacists and warehouse personnel before dispatch.

Quality control includes:

  • Independent verification of picked items against the original order
  • Confirmation of batch, expiry, and quantity
  • Physical inspection of packaging integrity
  • Cold-chain integrity check (for temperature-sensitive products)
  • Sign-off on the dispatch checklist by authorized personnel

This dual-verification process is designed to prevent dispatch errors and ensure every customer receives the correct product in the correct condition.

7. Delivery Documentation

Every Getmeds delivery is accompanied by complete documentation for transparency and regulatory compliance.

Delivery documents include:

  • Delivery Note or Sales Invoice
  • Batch and expiry details for every product
  • Transport temperature logs (for cold-chain shipments)
  • Authorization signatures from our Pharmacist and Dispatcher
  • Certificate of Analysis or Certificate of Origin (available upon request for institutional customers)

Customer responsibilities upon delivery:

  • Verify products against the Delivery Note
  • Check quantities, batch numbers, and expiry dates
  • Inspect packaging for damage or tampering
  • Sign the Delivery Receipt to confirm acceptance
  • Report any visible damage, leakage, or shortage at the point of delivery, before signing

8. Cold-Chain Handling

For medicines requiring temperature-controlled storage (e.g., biologics, vaccines, insulin, oncology therapies), Getmeds provides GDP-compliant cold-chain handling throughout the delivery journey.

Cold-chain standards:

  • Continuous temperature monitoring from warehouse to delivery
  • Validated cold-chain packaging (2–8°C or as required)
  • Temperature data loggers (where applicable)
  • Priority dispatch and delivery scheduling
  • Direct handoff to the customer or authorized representative

Cold-chain delivery requirements:

  • Cold-chain integrity must be verified at the point of delivery
  • Customers must inspect the temperature log or delivery temperature record before signing
  • Claims involving cold-chain products must be raised at delivery — not after acceptance
  • Once cold-chain products are accepted, Getmeds cannot be held responsible for post-delivery temperature excursions

Refer to our Return & Refund Policy for full details on cold-chain claims.
