Indications

This medication is used for the treatment and prevention of moderate to severe pain. It is a centrally-acting opioid analgesic.

Dosage and administration

Adults take 50-100mg every 4-6 hours via slow IV or IM injection. Post-operative initial bolus is 100mg, with a maximum daily dose of 600mg.
