Indications

Oxaliplatin, in combination with infusional 5-FU/leucovorin, is indicated for adjuvant treatment of stage III colon cancer after complete tumor resection and for advanced colorectal (colon and rectal) cancer.

Dosage and administration

Oxaliplatin is given every 2 weeks with 5-FU/leucovorin for 6 months in stage III colon cancer and in advanced colorectal cancer. It is infused IV without prehydration, with antiemetic premedication, followed by 5-FU bolus and continuous infusion.
