Indications
Letrozole is used only in hormone receptor-positive breast cancer, including adjuvant, extended adjuvant, first-line advanced, relapse cases, and neoadjuvant therapy in postmenopausal women; it reduces estrogen synthesis.
Dosage and administration
Letrozole is taken as 2.5 mg once daily for 5 years or until progression. It is used in adults, requires no dose adjustment in mild/moderate renal or hepatic impairment, and is not recommended for children.
