Indications

Abiraterone is indicated with prednisone/prednisolone for treating newly diagnosed high-risk metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer and metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer, including cases progressed after docetaxel chemotherapy.

Dosage and administration

The recommended oral dose is 1,000 mg once daily on an empty stomach. It must be taken with water, swallowed whole, at least two hours after eating.
