Indications
For induction of remission in acute myeloid leukemia’s in adults and for other acute
leukemia’s of adults and children.
Dosage and administration
Cytarabine dosing for remission induction is weight-based (about 0.5–5 mg/kg/day) via IV infusion or injections, adjusted by response and toxicity. Maintenance therapy is 1 mg/kg once or twice weekly, with higher tolerance in children and careful monitoring in elderly patients.
