Indications
First-line treatment for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) (Binet stage B/C); efficacy versus non-chlorambucil therapies unestablished. Also indicated with rituximab for untreated advanced CD20⁺ Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) or Mantle Cell Lymphoma ineligible for stem cell transplant, and relapsed/refractory indolent NHL.
Dosage and administration
Bendamustine IV requires physician supervision. Start if leukocytes ≥3,000/μL and platelets ≥75,000/μL. CLL 100 mg/m², refractory NHL 120 mg/m². Monitor counts; adjust or delay for toxicity. Hepatic/renal dose adjustments per severity; pediatric safety not established; elderly require no adjustment needed.
