Carvedilol Betacard 6.25mg Tablet widens the arteries, allowing more oxygen to get into the heart. Carvedilol (Betacard) 6.25mg slows your heart rate, increases its beat efficiency, and decreases the oxygen that the heart requires.

To reduce the risk of low blood pressure or orthostatic hypotension upon standing, it is advisable to take food while taking and avoid standing suddenly while lying down or sitting. 

• Patients with diabetes must closely monitor any changes in their blood sugar. 
• For contact lenses wearer patients, lubricant eye drops may be needed. 
• Limit physical activity temporarily to reduce heart strain if the patients cannot take this medication.

How do patients’ take this medicine?

• Take Carvedilol (Betacard) 6.25mg Tablet precisely as prescribed by your doctor or indicated on the label. Take no more or less than your doctor has prescribed. If this medication is prescribed two times a day, leave 10 to 12 hours between each dose. 
• Dosage of Carvedilol (Betacard) 6.25mg Tablet will differ in every patient depending on their conditions, age, and ethnicity
• This medication may be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time each day if possible.

What should do the patients do if they miss a dose?

• Take the missed dose immediately upon recall. If the next dose starts, skip the missed dose and proceed to the usual amount. Do not double dose to avoid overdosage. 
• If you frequently forget to take your doses, setting the alarm will serve as a reminder. Consult your pharmacist for additional tips on remembering to take your medication.

Is Carvedilol (Betacard) 6.25mg Tablet safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Carvedilol (Betacard) 6.25mg is not generally recommended in pregnant patients or nursing mothers. 
Ask your doctor about the benefits and risks of taking Carvedilol (Betacard) 6.25mg if you're trying to conceive or already pregnant. You may be able to switch to more appropriate medication such as labetalol or nifedipine. 

When should patients not take this medicine?

• Not advisable to patients with a respiratory disorder such as asthma, bronchitis, emphysema.
• Patient severe liver disease 
• Patients with a serious heart condition such as heart block, "sick sinus syndrome," or slow heart rate, unless the patient is on the pacemaker. 
• Patients taking colchicine
• Allergy to any ingredients of Carvedilol (Betacard) 6.25mg
