The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/getmeds.ph\/blog\/philippines-records-biggest-single-day-rise-in-coronavirus-cases\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">first highest number of coronaviruses reached 18,332 <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cases on August 23, 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/doh.gov.ph\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Department of Health (DOH)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> said the month of August 2021 is counted as the most number of COVID-19 infections with 332,986 and total deaths counted as 4,956 since the coronavirus started.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The five high recorded days in August are as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">August 23, 2021: 18,332<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">August 27, 2021: 17,447\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">August 20, 2021: 17,231<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">August 21, 2021: 16,694<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">August 26, 2021: 16,313<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the active <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/getmeds.ph\/blog\/healthcare-workers-under-strain-in-the-philippines\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COVID-19 cases<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> we recorded, the DOH said 96.2% are mild, 1.1% asymptomatic, 1.1% severe, and 0.6% critical. The DOH further declared that total recoveries rose to 1,741,089 after 6,771 more cases recovered from the infection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every laboratory is submitting data on time, except one laboratory failed to submit it on time. A total of 186 duplicate samples were further detached from the entire COVID-19 count. Furthermore, the DOH said that 47 cases that were earlier checked as recoveries were rechanged as deaths after closing validation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Based on records on August 25, the Philippines was more ready to test 70,396 individuals, of which 26.1% tested positive for the disease.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The DOH previously announced it had <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmanetwork.com\/news\/topstories\/nation\/801055\/doh-seeks-additional-funds-for-risk-allowance-of-17k-more-health-workers\/story\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">asked for extra funds from the Department of Budget and Management<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to implement the COVID-19 exceptional contribution to over 17,000 more clinical and health workers.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The COVID-19 cases in the Philippines have risen to 1,916,461 on Friday, and the second-highest number of coronaviruses reached 17,447 in a day, as reported by the Department of Health (DOH).
